What do you usually take with you on a Deep Sea fishing trip?
If it be the first time for ya’ (I’m assuming that it be a charter fishing boat) then I would suggest highly taken some motion-sickness pills! Dramamine is the most common form and the less expensive. Don’t mean ta’ scare ya’ off, but it’s no fun heading out with the idea of catching some big ones and have sea-sickness interfere. Good idea is to start taking them 24 hrs., before the trip and yeah should be fine. Check out the label before ya’ take my advice ie., 24hrs before departure ~ be on the safe side. Other items would be a good sun screen blocker, camera, and a good jacket (them winds can get pretty chilly). That be all that comes ta’ my mind, but I’m sure there will be others to add to your needs. To reiterate, not trying ta’ scare ya’ off, but better safe than sorry.

Are there any public deep sea fishing tours available in the Philippines? Half day or full day trips? How much and wear? Equipment provided?
Yes, in Siargao. Thru the Pansukian Resort.

“Pansukian can organize a half-day or whole-day fishing expedition with Siargao’s best fisherman, Junior Gonzalez, who can provide the boat, fishing equipment and bait. This, of course, depends on Junior’s availability and the condition of the waves.
Year round, you can catch fish like jack and giant trevally weighing as much as 40 to 50 kilos. Around the payaos (artificial fish shelters), you’ll find small yellow fin tuna (around two to five kilos), skipjack tuna, durado, and, if you’re lucky, marlin! Night fishing around the payaos can net about 100 kilos of squid, depending on your skill.”
